Blogathon India, a new network for Indian bloggers, concluded their first
meet up at the ‘Dell Blogathon’ 2012 at The Second Sin, Delhi last week. The
theme of the meet up was aligned to the aim of the network itself – celebrating
the power of blogging together. The event was organized by myself and the
two co-founders of Blogathon India, Akshita Jain and Ankul Barar.
The brand blogger scenario today has witnessed a
significant change, as a blogger’s influence is not restricted to his or her
blog, but permeates across all social networks they belong to. Now with the
increasing number of people and increasing amount of time spent by those people
on social networks, bloggers have become serious influencers for brands. Thus,
the ‘Dell Blogathon’ became the platform where brands meet bloggers.
