Globally and in India, technology adoption rate among individuals and
businesses is on an upswing with no signs of settling down. While this would
bring innumerable possibilities for the good, it would also bring about certain
behavioral disorders.
There are other global trends to support this possibility as well:
- As per a recent
report from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of
Business, social networking services such as Facebook and Twitter are more
difficult to resist than cigarettes or alcohol
- Biz Stone, co-founder and creative director of Twitter recently
advised the micro-blogging site's 500 million users, that spending
hours on twitter is unhealthy and they shouldn't sacrifice their life for
it
The life changes brought about by the increasing
inclusion of technology in our lives will lead to the emergence of a new
profession, tech councilors or tech psychologists. And actually, i wouldn't be
surprised if somewhere in this world the practice has already begun.
